When a domain name is not found and not prefixed with "www", why doesn't OpenDNS auto-correct?

We understand that this might be a desirable feature for some users.  However, the www or no www policy is something the domain owner controls. Pre-pending a www can work in some cases, but can cause more problems in others.

It's not just about pattern matching, but should be based on historical data -- which we can do, but would risk making the experience slow. So, in the interest of speed, our policy is to not automatically pre-pend www to domain names.
