My ISP's DNS servers are closer to me than OpenDNS. Will I still benefit from using OpenDNS?
Yes. You should still benefit from a faster and more reliable browsing experience. DNS speed is a combination of network latency (as measured by ping time or traceroute) and software speed. Even if we're a few milliseconds further away on the network, our software and extensive cache usually make the user experience better by completing the full resolution of DNS queries faster.
