How to configure OpenDNS with a Windows 2000 Dial-up Connection
Generally, you want to configure your Dial-up TCP/IP DNS server addresses to point to the OpenDNS servers, 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
On Windows 2000:
- Click on Start Menu/Settings/Control Panel/Network and Dial-up Connections/Dial-up Connection.
- Click on the Properties button from the Dial-up Connection window.
- Select Networking tab. Find Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) in the list and click on the Properties button.
- Select the radio button next to "Use the following DNS server addresses." Input 208.67.222.222 for the Preferred DNS server and 208.67.220.220 for Alternate DNS server.
- Click OK.
