How to never block (Whitelist) a domain

A never block (previously whitelist) is a list of domains that will never be blocked on your network regardless of the content filtering categories you've turned on. This is how you manage your never block list.

1. Make sure you are using OpenDNS (Get started).

2. Sign in or create a free account.

3. Add a network to your account.
If you already have a network in your OpenDNS account, you may skip this step.

4. Add a domain to the never block list for your network(s).

Navigate to the Settings page of your OpenDNS Dashboard. At the bottom of the page there is a section called Manage Individual Domains. In this section there is an option to add to either the never block or always block list. Pull down Never Block from the menu and type in the domain you wish to always access.

5. Wait 3 minutes for your preferences to be pushed to all servers.

You may then test by visiting exampleadultsite.com. Make sure any local caches (browser, computer, router, firewall, etc.) are cleared before if you think it's not working.
