Introduction to Managing OpenDNS Enterprise Account Attributes
There are several options administrators can customize when configuring OpenDNS Enterprise within their organization. Administrators can specify individual networks and users of those networks within the organization, set per-network security and content filtering rules, and grant other users one of three levels of administrative privileges for each network.
Specific contact assignments for billing notices, updates from OpenDNS and questions from the organization's end-users are also customizable.
OpenDNS Enterprise account attributes enable key features within OpenDNS Enterprise and are explained in the following table.
| OpenDNS Enterprise Account Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| Plan Info | Allows OpenDNS administrator to define an organization name, and the appropriate contacts for Billing, Service Updates and Support. |
| Users | Allows an OpenDNS Administrator to add users. Users may be granted three levels of permissions over specific networks. Users can also be given Super User permissions, which makes that user an OpenDNS Administrator. Users are also a means to implement bypass access to blocked pages and do not have to be granted any permissions to a network. |
| Assign Networks | Manage assignment of networks (defined by IP addresses) to an organization. |
| Delegated Administration | Once users are added to an organization, an OpenDNS Administrator can assign administrative privileges for users by specific network. |
| Audit Log | Track and report on activity of all OpenDNS Administrators within an organization. |
