Enterprise Networks

OpenDNS Enterprise is a solution for organizations and is ideally suited for multiple networks requiring industrial-grade security and content filtering, robust reporting and delegated administration.

Configuring OpenDNS Enterprise typically means using OpenDNS as the external recursive DNS server used by an organization’s internal DNS servers. Since internal DNS server configurations can vary between a single server to multiple servers spread across departments and office locations, specific configurations will vary. If you do not have an internal DNS server, the configuration follows the same options as those used by our OpenDNS Basic customers.

To configure OpenDNS in an Enterprise network, you must first setup an Enterprise account by contacting OpenDNS sales. This step activates your login to access the suite of Enterprise features such as delegated administration, managing multiple users, configuring block page bypass permissions, extensive reporting, industrial-grade security and customization options.

Once an Enterprise account is active, the OpenDNS Administrator can log in and configure OpenDNS on your internal DNS servers by following the instructions specified at this link.

If you need additional IP addresses (3rd and 4th priority forwarders), you should use the following: 208.67.220.222 and 208.67.222.220.
