How Bypassing Blocked Pages Works
When a network end-user navigates to a website that is listed in an active OpenDNS filtering category, the OpenDNS block page will appear. For example, if a particular category is filtered on a network and a user attempts to go to a website that is tagged as belonging to that category, the user will see an OpenDNS block page.
If Bypass Blocked Pages is enabled, the Admin link in the lower-right corner enables end-users to reach the Bypass entry form and enter the credentials necessary to proceed to the website.
After the end-user successfully enters their bypass credentials, they will be taken to an OpenDNS link for the original site. They must click this link to activate the bypass code and gain access to the website.
The OpenDNS Block Page Bypass window appears and must be left open while the end-user is browsing blocked websites. This window creates a bypass session, which will terminate when the window is closed or the end-user chooses to sign out of the bypass session.
