How to create a shortcut that takes parameters
When creating a shortcut, enter %s in the website field as the parameter placeholder, like this:
shortcut --> http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=%s
To use the parameter with your shortcut, type your shortcut, follow it by a space, followed by the parameter.
In your address bar: shortcut msft
